Red Flag or Green Flag Privacy Policy
Effective August 4, 2026
The game has no account and no game server. Every answer you give is stored on your device and is never uploaded — not to us, not to analytics, not to anyone. Party mode sends your votes directly to the other phones in the room over your local network, encrypted, and keeps nothing afterwards. What leaves your device otherwise is the limited data an advertising partner processes to show an advertisement.
This Privacy Policy describes how Polari Group LLC, a New Mexico limited liability company (“Polari Group,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information in connection with Red Flag or Green Flag, our card game for iOS (the “App”). It covers only the App; our website at polarigroup.com and our other products are governed by their own policies.
The App is designed to work without an account. There is no sign-up, no profile, and no password, and the game has no server: scenarios ship inside the App, and your progress is stored on your device. We operate no backend that receives your gameplay.
Your Answers
The verdicts you give are the most personal thing in the App, and they are the thing we are most careful with. Every answer is recorded on your device only. Answers are never uploaded, never attached to an identity, never included in an analytics event, and never seen by us. There is nowhere for them to go — we run no server that could receive them.
The result you are shown at the end of a session is calculated on your device from that session’s answers. It is not sent anywhere, and it is not retained anywhere but your phone.
Information Stored on Your Device
The App stores the following on your device only: your coin balance and experience, level, longest streak, daily-challenge streak and history, which scenarios you have seen, which results and achievements you have collected, which decks and themes you have unlocked, any scenarios you have reported, the display name you choose for party mode, and your settings — theme, larger text, high contrast, reduced motion, sound, haptics, mature content, and your age confirmation.
This data never leaves your device through the App’s own code. It is not backed up to us, and we cannot see it, read it, or restore it. Deleting the App removes all of it permanently.
Party Mode
Party mode connects the phones in a room directly to one another using Apple’s MultipeerConnectivity over your local Wi-Fi network or Bluetooth. There is no server, no account, and no internet connection involved: the phones find each other by a four-letter code broadcast on the local network, and every connection is encrypted.
- What is sent between phones is limited to what the round needs: the display name you chose, your verdict for the current scenario, and your guess in an accusation round.
- Scenario text is never transmitted. The host sends a number that every phone uses to deal the same cards independently, so the game itself never crosses the wire.
- The App keeps no record of a party after it ends. Scores exist only for the duration of the round, on the phones taking part.
- iOS asks for Local Network permission before any of this can work, and declining it disables party mode and nothing else.
A display name is whatever you type and is visible to the other players in the room for the length of the game. It is not an account, it is not verified, and it is not stored anywhere but your own device.
Advertising and Consent
The App is free and supported by advertising delivered through Google Mobile Ads. To show an advertisement, Google may process advertising identifiers, coarse location, ad and product interactions, advertising data, and diagnostic or performance data, for advertising, fraud prevention, and measurement. Your answers and your gameplay are not shared with advertising partners.
- Where regional privacy law requires it, a consent form is presented before any ad is loaded, and your choice is honored.
- You may be asked for tracking permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt; declining never limits the App.
- Advertisements appear as a banner and between a session and its result, and as optional videos you choose to watch in exchange for an in-game bonus. A video is never required, and every reward a video grants can also be bought with coins earned by playing.
We require service providers that receive data to protect it consistently with this policy and applicable law. You can change your tracking permission in iOS Settings at any time, and reopen the consent form from within the App where it applies.
Reporting a Scenario
Reporting a scenario hides it from your decks immediately. The report is recorded on your device so the card stops appearing, and nothing about it is transmitted to us or attached to you. If you want us to know about a card, email us — that message is the only thing that reaches us, and only because you sent it.
What We Do Not Collect
The App has no analytics, no crash-reporting service, and no telemetry of its own. It does not ask for your name, email address, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or precise location, and it does not track you across other apps or websites beyond what the advertising choices described above allow. It has no leaderboard and no social sign-in.
Age Eligibility
The App is intended for players aged 17 and older. Its subject matter is adult relationships, and the After Dark deck covers intimacy and consent in blunt though never graphic terms and sits behind an age confirmation. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Data Retention
Answers, progress and settings remain on your device until you delete the App. Party rounds are not retained anywhere once they end. Advertising partners apply their own retention rules to the data they process. Because we operate no game server, we hold no gameplay data to retain.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the rights to access, correct, or delete it. Because the App keeps everything on your device and has no account, in most cases we hold no personal information about you at all; the most effective controls are your advertising choices and deleting the App.
Residents of California have the rights provided by the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, including the right to know, delete, and correct. We do not sell personal information. Residents of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom have the rights provided by the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulations, including access, erasure, and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email legal@polarigroup.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law, and we may need additional information to identify any data we hold.
International Use
Polari Group is based in the United States. If you use the App outside the United States, information processed by our advertising partners may be handled in the United States or other countries where those providers operate, where data-protection laws may differ from those of your own.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date shown at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
