The sound stops when I lock my phone
Check You › Keep playing when locked. When it is off, Lull pauses on purpose as the screen locks. On Android, also make sure battery optimization is not set to restrict Lull, since some phones stop background audio aggressively.
Playing through a speaker
On iPhone, open the player and tap the AirPlay button at the top to send the sound to an AirPlay speaker, a HomePod or an Apple TV. On Android, use the output switcher in the media controls of your notification shade.
Timer and fade out
Open the player or Tonight and tap the timer. Choose a stop time, or “until my alarm”, and a fade-out length. The fade lowers the volume gradually over the last minutes of the timer, then playback stops. Your choice becomes the default for next time.
Making and editing a mix
From the player, tap Save as mix, or go to Sounds › Mixes › New mix. A mix holds up to four sounds, each with its own level. Tap Edit on a saved mix to change the layers, rename it or delete it. Mixes are stored on your phone only, so they do not move to a new phone.
The bedtime reminder does not arrive
The reminder is a notification scheduled on your phone, so Lull needs permission to send notifications — check it in your phone’s Settings. On Android the reminder can arrive a few minutes late while the phone is idle to save battery. You can change the time or turn the reminder off in You › Bedtime reminder.
Adding the widget
On iPhone, touch and hold the Home Screen, tap Edit › Add Widget and search for Lull. For the Lock Screen, touch and hold the Lock Screen and tap Customize. On Android, touch and hold the home screen, tap Widgets and find Lull. The play and pause ring works without opening the app. If the widget shows the wrong sound, open Lull once and it will catch up.
Restoring or cancelling Lull Premium
If you subscribed on another device with the same Apple Account or Google account, open the paywall and tap Restore purchases. Subscriptions are managed by Apple and Google, so cancel from your App Store or Google Play subscription settings — You › Manage subscription takes you there. If you were charged and Premium is not showing, email us with the date.
Where ads appear
On the free version, a banner sits along the bottom of the app’s main screens, a full-screen ad can appear occasionally when you start a sound, and one can appear when you return to the app after some time away. There are no ads on the lock screen or in widgets. Lull Premium removes all of them.
Changing your ad choices
Where the law requires a consent choice, Lull shows a Privacy options row in the You tab that reopens the consent form. On iPhone, tracking permission can be changed any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
Privacy questions
What Lull keeps on your phone, and the little that ever reaches the internet, is written out plainly in the privacy policy.
